Tony and Debbie Bye with their four children Andrew, Emily, Madeleine and Nathan sponsor several children through Mercy International. They share the joys of sponsoring.

As a family it is our absolute pleasure to sponsor children through Mercy International. We are thrilled to have the opportunity and to hear great stories of how our sponsorship is making a life-changing difference to the lives of our beautiful sponsored children.

We are committed to Mercy International long term, this way we have the opportunity to see our sponsored children grow and develop. Our goal and prayer is to see each child leave the program equipped, educated, healthy and confident to lead a fulfilled life. As parents we love the excitement and pleasure our own children have in experiencing the joy of making a difference to the lives of children in need.

One of the many aspects of Mercy International we love is the continual and open communication we have with each of our sponsored children. We really feel like we are part of their lives. We pray, send letters, pictures, birthday cards and gifts regularly and love the replies and photos from each of our sponsored children.

We were delighted when our eldest son Andrew starting working full-time and decided to sponsor a child. Andrew wants his sponsored child to have a future full of hope, health and prosperity.

Thank you Mercy International for making a difference in children's lives and thank you for giving us the opportunity to be part of a life-changing journey for both our sponsored children and for our own children.

I am thrilled to work with Rob Dunk and the team of Mercy International. We have been involved with them for several years working closely with them to build three homes and helping them develop their very effective ministry in Thailand.

I have personally seen the work they do and we are very proud to be associated with them and the high quality work they are doing. They have a strong team of Australians and Thais working together in harmony to achieve their passionate and very needy vision.

We look forward to many more years of fruitful partnership with them.

We support Mercy International as we wanted to make a difference in the life of a child and Mercy International is doing just that.

We really appreciate that Mercy International has many options available for individuals to support the children of Thailand.

We chose the educational sponsorship and are currently sponsoring seven children and it is great to know that these children are receiving a good education in a loving environment.

Our partnership with Mercy International gives the students and staff an appreciation and understanding of people in under-developed countries. It causes us to look beyond ourselves and to consider how we can help those less fortunate.

In 2001 Bruce Campbell, Principal of the College shared with the then senior students a plan by Mercy International to build new homes for babies and children at Ban Meata Children's Village in Phetchabun. Thus commenced an ongoing commitment by the college students and staff to raise funds; visiting the children's homes and the associated school to assist in whatever way possible; and to provide teaching expertise and resources.

Sister School Agreement - Thailand

Nambour Christian College and Meata Chanupatham Christian School Phetchabun entered into a sister school agreement in January 2007 - a school the College helped to establish.

Through the signing of a Sister School Agreement, the College will be working to help assist the teachers with resources and professional development activities. The students from each school are being encouraged to communicate via the Internet.

During the past eight years, students, staff and Parents Association have been financially supporting the children's homes and the school. Teams of students and staff visit the Thailand operations regularly.

It was the significant introduction to Rob and Jean Dunk that started us on the road to becoming a globally focused and impacting church.

Our partnership with Mercy International began in1999 when we raised the funds to build the Kevin Ennis house at Ban Meata children's village in Phetchabun. Our involvement with them has continued since then.

We have witnessed first hand the incredible results that Mercy International has achieved in embracing and loving those who have been abandoned. To see the children and their growth and development in all areas of their lives is a great joy.

Our church today has been able to contribute to works in other Asian nations as a direct result of our hearts being touched with compassion as we have participated with Mercy International.

We thank God for the vision of this organisation and the impact it has had on us.

We have all seen the faces of hungry abandoned children on TV - and wanted to do something to help; but also wanted to be sure that our dollar reaches those children. With Mercy International you giving is safe. I am honoured to give my wholehearted endorsement to Mercy International and Rob and Jean Dunk who have led this ministry since its inception over 25 years ago. From numerous visits I have found that this organisation takes on the character and persona of its leaders. Rob and Jean possess a rare combination of vision and passion to overcome every obstacle. They have built something great for God and for children. Their vision has become a reality in transforming the lives of thousands of neglected and abandoned children, by building significant children's villages and schools with a spirit of excellence - focused on the welfare and care of the children. I invite you to join with me in bringing love and care and a good future to children born into poverty and loss.
