Phrae

Mercy International’s third Children’s Village is in Phrae Northern Thailand; three hours’ drive south-east from Chiang Mai. The Children’s Village is situated on 15 acres of land 17km from the city centre.

This beautiful well-equipped children’s village opened mid-2008 with the aim of caring for babies and toddlers from difficult family situations; Many of the children’s parents are in prison, are drug or alcohol addicted, or single teenage mums with no family support.

These children are growing up in an atmosphere of love and acceptance in family focused homes, with space to run around, play soccer, basketball, ride a bike, fish and swim in the inground pool.

The majority of the children living at Mercy International’s Phrae Children’s Village are bi-lingual.
